Life skills & Mentorship
Women Empowerment
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and this initiative helps us ensure that our partners are better prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, we were not left out but played a key role in ensuring that our communities were covered. We trained women to make Masks, liquid soap and other essentials needed to fight the pandemic. Many people lost their Livelihoods and this cushioned our women and their families.

Pads for our Girls
Through our Support Services, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. "Donate a pad pick a pad" is one of our support services that we continue to provide pads for our school going girls. This initiative invites all well wishers to donate a packet of pads (Donate pads as per their ability) then our girls come to the office to pick a packet or as per their need as guided by our social worker and case managers.

Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve reaching out to children and youth. We focus on empowering them on matters of life, their environment and how to overcome the challenges around them. Bright futures aims at breaking cycle of poverty, illiteracy and gender based violence.
To break the cycle of Violence and poverty, we realized that we needed to start mentorship programs for the teenagers in high-school and primary school. This program takes place during school holidays in April, August and December.
-
For those in High school, we take them through exciting activities including trainings, sessions and movies among others, all are geared towards holding meaningful conversations in the process.
-
For those in primary we invite them for our holiday children craft classes and activities where we also get opportunity to mentor them. This way the children are meaningfully engaged over the holiday and protected from negative influence.
-
School based program involves motivational talks and lifeskills.
